After starting his eponymous gothic inspired label in 1981 during Paris fashion week, Tokyo based designer Yohji Yamamoto has since gone on to position himself at the forefront of the avant garde scene, starting everything from a sportswear line with Y-3 to a more casual line with S'yte. His releases under his namesake label often feature exaggerated takes on classic formal attire, and often utilise the finest wools and cottons on the market.
