Ever since the first presentation of his brand YOHJI YAMAMOTO in 1981 during Paris fashion week, each collection is greeted by the world with great uproar and applause. Yohji has rightfully earned himself the title of the godfather of Japanese fashion. It can be argued both Yohji Yamamoto and peer Rei Kwakubo are responsible for the birth of avant garde fashion.
